The Project

01.

Pre-Planning

Study the environments, prepare the storyboard, the interviews, organize the trips and choosing the equipment.

Spread Plastic Life to ensure the success of the fundraising campaign and evaluate possible interested distributors.

02.

Raising Funds

Meet associations, doctors, centers, families, schools, universities, advocates, both online and offline, offer merchandising and exclusive previews to stimulate involvement and invite people to take part in the creation of Plastic Life. Plastic Life is a collective work, where everyone can be an important active member.

03.

Production

Go on site, follow the protagonists, prepare the sets for the interviews and make all the audio and video recordings for the documentary and b-roll for the website and social networks.

04.

Post-Production

Organize all the material, do the editing, create a look according to what was planned, add the soundtrack, create the poster and promotional material.

05.

Promotion

Extract the “hero shots” from the documentary, use them to promote it and give it a face. Use the official trailer, build engagement via social, and spread with the help of influencers and advocates.

06.

Distribution

Meet distribution houses at events, fairs, participate in festivals, organize exclusive previews for educational institutions, involve OTT and on demand distribution services.

THE VISUAL STYLE

We look for the cinematic look, but keep the images grounded in reality.

We’ll be aiming for the intimacy and the cinematic texture of a film like “Moonlight”.

The Main Characters

We want to capture their essence, immerse ourselves in their lives and paint a realistic picture of what it means to be each of them.

When the protagonists’ stories become more intense, Nemo, an imaginary character who wears a mask made of mirrors, will bring their emotions to life. Through Nemo audiences will be able to fully immerse themselves in their experiences and understand them on a deeper level.

Thanks to advance planning in collaboration with our talents, we will know their spaces and habits in advance, so we will know exactly how to get the best shots in the shortest possible time.

The Medical Experts

Psychologists, doctors, researchers and some neurodivergents too. They will convey the information about what our main characters are going through, they will enlighten us about the conditions and tools that allows us to better understand the Plastic Life world.

Men and women from all over the world, to tell the approaches and knowledge available in different countries. Expert insights into the current environment and what it takes to improve it.

We will go to their offices, the interviews will be prepared in advance, so as to reduce the time to the minimum possible.

TECHNICAL APPROACH

LESS IS MORE

We use mirorrless cameras, to ensure the cinematic look keeping a light and nimble setup easy to carry. In association with the gimbal it allows you to use all accessories such as external monitors and microphones ready on the go. The best filmmaking is when there is only the director, one camera and one interesting talent. Small crews allows to capture the intimacy of the moments, to be part of the action and to get the most real footage. To keep it as true as possible we will go for subject, camera, microphone and good lighting. This approach allows for the quickest turn around in setups, enabling exploration in finding the perfect angles and lighting.
